New Commitment

Commitment is a funny thing in my world.  Well, not funny but maybe a little sporatic.  I'm committed to my husband and my family.  I'm committed to my friends and the like.  I'm committed to my quilting and creating special things for special people (whether I know them personally or not).

The weird thing is - I have a hard time committing to this blog.  I'm going to do my best to keep on top of this and share all about me, my monkeys, marriage and all things crafty that come out of my world.

Wish me luck - lets see how this goes.  Maybe I should start by scheduling blogging time in my calendar!

Happy Friday - cheers to the weekend!

The Marriage Side

Have you ever been struck by lightning?  Not in the literal sense, but in an emotional way, that you know has and will change your life forever?

I get that way, whenever I look at my husband.  I remember the first time we were alone together (not really on a date, but time to chat together), I almost felt ill, the butterflies were crazy in my stomach.  Still to this day, when he doesn't know I'm looking at him, I get butterflies all over again!

There is something to be said about falling in love with the man of your dreams.  When you wake up in the morning and see their face and go to bed at night knowing you're safe beside someone who will protect you to the end of the earth, you find peace in that comfort.

I might not always show him, just how much I appreciate him, but I hope that he knows.  I hope he knows that he moves me when he smiles.  I become a giddy teenagers when he laughs and when he speaks, the sound of his voice makes me melt.

I know that his actions are all in my best interest and for my happiness, I hope that he knows I strive for the same.  May I live as greatly for him as he lives for me.

Forever

First Contest Entered

I follow a ton of blogs through Google Reader and watch as so many gracious contests get posted and the wonderful community get to receive the wonderful gifts they have to offer.

I finally decided that I would participate and so fingers crossed, maybe my number will be called.  I think it's incredible the wonderful contributions the communities make to the creativity of others and share in their wealth of knowledge and materials.

I hope that one day, I will be one of the group and have such to give back!

Head on over to 1 Choice 4 Quilting to get in on their latest giveaway!

Ready...Set...

I've been quietly observing in the background, not commenting, not posting, not contributing.  I hate to admit it, but maybe I have lots to say.

I'm a mother of two (10 and 4) crazy active boys and wife to one incredible man.  I realized that I am going at a mile a minute and I need to take the time to stop, reflect and share my doings.  That sounds funny.

We're always on the go, doing one thing or another and so, I wanted to be able to document what's going on.  Not just for my sanity, but maybe for your enjoyment as well.

I don't have a great camera, but will make do with what I have and hopefully share photos of my creations, projects, events and ideas.  My boys (all three of them) inspire me on a daily basis to be better and maybe that's what I'll write about.

I have an undeniable urge to help others and so I will share the things I do for donations and the people I help.  I will share the ever on going renovations in E Manor and my serious need to be frugal.

No joke!  I can save a buck like no one and I am ok with being frugal (ok cheap might be more like it).  I'll post shortly about my E Manor Freecycle Renovation Challenge, it's going to be an interesting 15 weeks.

My boys are a source of endless entertainment, I hope you find them as funny as I do.  I'll share my love of reading, quilting, crafting.  I'll share my hate of laundry, cleaning and gardening.  I'm going to learn to love those things eventually.

Welcome!
